Don Vawter

Prior to joining Terra-Gen, Don Vawter worked for Edison International companies for 13 years and The AES Corporation for 11 years where he was the Asset Manager for the 4,400 MW AES Southland portfolio in Southern California.

Don started his energy career as a power plant electrician fresh out of a four-year stint in the US Navy. He has held a variety of roles in the power industry including Electrician, Planner, Maintenance Manager, Real-Time Trader, Plant Manager, Asset Manager, Developer and Originator. Don currently leads the Origination efforts in California and commercialization of the Terra-Gen’s merchant portfolio. He graduated summa cum laude from the University of Nevada- Las Vegas with a Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Operations.
