Discovery Solar Storage

Located in Kern County, California, the Discovery Solar Storage project, currently under development, is expected to have the capacity to produce approximately 1 GW of clean, renewable energy. The facility will incorporate the most advanced solar energy and battery energy storage technologies, including U.S.-manufactured panels by First Solar. Construction of the facility is expected to create over 1,000 jobs and generate approximately $25 million in solar property tax revenue in its first full year of operations, in addition to sales tax and other local benefits.
