Darren J. Weiss

Darren Weiss has over 25 years in the energy industry and currently manages Terra-Gen’s Performance Engineering group supporting wind, solar, and battery projects development and operations.

Before joining Terra-Gen in 2024, Darren Weiss served as Sr Director of Engineering at Onward Energy, providing in-house technical due diligence and managing the SCADA and Performance Engineering teams supporting 2.5 GW of operating wind and solar projects.

Prior to 2017, Darren spent 17 years as a consultant working with Bosek Gibson & Associates, Newcomb Anderson Associates, Garrad Hassan America, NERAK, Inc, and Eurus Energy America.  Over this period, he has undertaken facility energy audits and building modelling, wind farm operational energy assessments, IEC-Compliant Wind Turbine Power Curve Testing, and Wind & Solar Performance Engineering duties.

Darren holds an MS degree in Mechanical Engineering from University of Massachusetts, Amherst and is a registered Professional Engineer in California.
