Jim Pagano 2

Jim Pagano

Chief Executive Officer​

Prior to joining Terra-Gen, Jim Pagano was President of LS Power Development, LLC. Prior to LS Power, Jim was a Senior Vice President of Caithness from January 2004 to December 2006.

From 1992 to 2003, Jim held various positions with Cogentrix Energy, Inc., including Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice President – Development. 

Previously, Jim was an Associate with Simpson Thacher & Bartlett where he represented developers and lenders in connection with independent power projects. 

Jim received a B.A. in Economics with highest distinction and a J.D. from the University of Virginia.

John OConner 2

John O’Connor

Chief Financial Officer

Prior to joining Terra-Gen in 2009, John O’Connor served as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Administrative Officer for Cogentrix Energy, a wholly-owned subsidiary of The Goldman Sachs Group. 

From 1994 to 2004, John held various financial management positions with Cogentrix Energy, including Senior Vice-President – Finance & Treasurer and Vice-President – Controller. 

Prior to joining Cogentrix Energy, John worked for the audit division of Arthur Andersen.

John holds a MBA from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a B.S. degree in Accounting from Wake Forest University.

Gus Luna 1

Gus Luna

Chief Development Officer

Prior to joining Terra-Gen, Gus Luna was the Country Manager for the AES Corporation in the Philippines where, among other responsibilities, he was responsible for managing the operations of a 600MW thermal generation facility.

During his nine-year tenure at The AES Corporation, Gus served in various power plant development capacities throughout North America, with an emphasis in California. 

Prior to joining AES, Gus was with Edison International group of companies for 11 years, serving in various power generation marketing and trading functions at both the regulated and unregulated companies.

Ward Scobee 2

Ward Scobee

Chief Operating Officer

Prior to joining Terra-Gen, Ward Scobee served as Director of Business Management at Caithness Energy, LLC. Ward has over 27 years of experience in the electric power industry.

Prior to joining Caithness in May of 1999, Ward was with Dynegy Inc. located in Houston, Texas, where he served in a variety of capacities in both the financial and operational divisions of the company. 

Currently Ward oversees the commercial and operational management of Terra-Gen’s entire operating portfolio and is actively involved in the company’s wind development efforts. 

Ward earned a B.A. in Business Administration degree in Accounting from Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas and a MBA degree in Finance from Houston Baptist University in Houston, Texas.

Ken Peyton

Senior Vice President- Controller

Prior to joining Terra-Gen in 2010, Ken Peyton served as Director of Financial Operations from 2004 to 2010 for Casella Waste Systems, Inc., a publicly traded waste management company which included waste-to-energy and landfill gas-to-energy facilities.

From 2000 to 2004, Ken served as Vice-President – Controller at Cogentrix Energy. Prior to joining Cogentrix Energy, Ken held a various management positions including working for the audit division of Arthur Andersen. 

Ken holds a B.S. degree in Business Administration from the University of Vermont. 

Carrie Lackey

Vice President- Treasurer

Prior to joining Terra-Gen in 2010, Carrie Lackey served as Co-Chief Financial Officer for Cogentrix Energy, a wholly owned subsidiary of The Goldman Sachs Group.

From 1998 to 2010, Carrie held various financial management positions with Cogentrix Energy, including Vice President – Corporate Finance.  

Prior to joining Cogentrix Energy, Carrie worked for The Babcock & Wilcox Company (1989 – 1997) and Honeywell International, formerly Allied Signal, (1997 – 1998) in various accounting and finance roles.  

Carrie holds a B.S. degree in Accounting from The University of Akron.

Seamus O'Rourke

Vice President – Finance

Prior to joining Terra-Gen in 2008, Seamus O’Rourke was an analyst at GE Energy Financial Services, focused on tax equity investments for wind and solar projects. 

Seamus holds an M.B.A. degree from New York University and a B.A. in International Studies from Boston College.

Amy Roth 1

Amy Roth

Vice President – Environment Health and Safety

Prior to joining Terra-Gen, Amy Roth spent nearly 30 years at British Petroleum and E&B Natural Resources. She held positions of Vice President and completed international assignments.

Currently, Amy oversees environmental permitting efforts in support of the company’s development initiatives, health and safety, environmental compliance for the operating facilities and Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) reporting. She is a Board member of the Kern Economic Development Corporation.

Amy earned a B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering with Honors Curriculum from Purdue University and a MBA degree with high honors from the University of Chicago.

Michael Tartibi

Vice President – Transmission & Interconnection

Prior to joining Terra-Gen, Michael Tartibi worked for NRG for eight years where his last responsibility as the Director of Transmission and Interconnection was managing all interconnection and market related matters for development and acquisition of renewable projects.

Prior to NRG, Michael was employed by Exelon for seven years where he managed interconnection issues, traded transmission rights for both hedge and speculation purposes, and supported traders for transmission and congestion problems and questions. 

At NRG and Exelon, Michael gained significant knowledge about market, transmission, and interconnection subjects in various power markets.

Before Exelon, Michael worked for Siemens Generation as an Application Engineer for four years.

Kim Urban

Director of Human Resources

Before joining Terra-Gen in 2022, Kim Urban was Director of Human Resources at Flux Power, a manufacturer of advanced lithium-ion energy storage electrification solutions for material handling and ground support equipment.

Prior to Flux Power, Kim managed human resource departments for several manufacturing companies, including Kyocera, Steico Industries, and DYE Precision.

Kim received her M.A. in Human Resources from Chapman University, and her B.S. degree in Business Management from Webster University. Kim’s areas of HR Management expertise are in manufacturing, action sports, high-tech start-ups, and automotive industries.

Xavier Goy 1

Xavier Goy

Vice President – Project Management

Xavier Goy has 20 years of experience in power industry and oversees the implementation of over 5,000MW of Wind, Solar and Storage power plant currently in operation across the United States.

Xavier has broad industry knowledge including late stage Development, Engineering, Interconnection, Construction, Procurement and Financing.

Prior to working at Terra-Gen, Xavier was employed by EDF Renewables an Independent Power Producer where he developed and led the Project Management team. Over the year, Xavier worked with numerous utilities including Dominion, Southern California Edison, San Diego Gas & Electricity, Southern Power Company, ComEd and Alliant Energy.

Xavier holds a M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from “Institut National Polytechnique de Grenoble” (France) and a Master’s Certificate in Project Management from the University of Pittsburgh, Joseph M. Katz Graduate School of Business.

Damon Huplosky

Managing Director – Tax

Prior to joining Terra-Gen in 2007, Damon Huplosky was the Tax Director of Caithness Energy, LLC from January 2000 to December 2007.

From 1995 to 2000, Damon held various positions within the Caithness Tax Group. 

Damon earned a BBA degree in Accounting from Pace University.

Jeff Cast

Managing Director – Finance

Prior to joining Terra-Gen in 2009, Jeff Cast served as a Vice President at GE Energy Financial Services, focused on equity investments in the power sector. 

From 2003 to 2005, Jeff worked for the energy consulting division of Price Waterhouse Coopers where he specialized in valuation, FAS 133 and financial process improvement. 

Jeff holds a MBA degree from the University of Texas and a B.S. degree in Economics from the University of Kansas. Certifications include CPA, CFA and FRM.

Lisa Harding

Director – Health and Safety

Prior to joining Terra-Gen, Lisa Harding held various onshore and offshore production and operational roles for Chevron USA and Caithness Energy including operational oversight of three power plants.

In 2005, she established herself in health and safety roles increasing in responsibility for Caithness Wind and Geothermal projects. Caithness was subsequently acquired by Arc Light Capital Partners and became a part of Terra-Gen Power.

Currently, Lisa oversees health and safety for the company. With over 35 years of experience, she brings a commitment to teaching the importance of safety to meet the highest operational standards.

Mark Turner 1

Mark Turner

Vice President – Head of Energy Storage Development

Mark acts as Terra-Gen’s Head of Energy Storage Development. Prior to joining Terra-Gen in 2019, Mark served as Vice President – Development at Competitive Power Ventures, Inc where he led development and origination in the Western markets and PJM. Mark has over 28 years of experience in the electric power industry.

Prior to joining Competitive Power Ventures in May of 2006, Mark served as Director of Development for InterGen in North America and Mexico.

Mark earned a B.A. degree in Government from California State University, Sacramento and a M.A. degree in Energy & Environmental Policy Studies from Columbia University in New York City.

Craig Pospisil

Vice President – Head of Wind Development

Craig currently leads Terra-Gen’s wind development program, directs its government advocacy efforts, and overseas the company’s real estate, GIS, and meteorology teams.

Prior to joining Terra-Gen in 2016, Craig co-led NRG Energy’s utility-scale renewables business development activities where he was responsible for leading the origination and development of wind project transactions.

Prior to joining NRG, Craig was responsible for renewable project origination, development, and acquisition at Edison Mission Energy. This included originating, structuring and closing new energy investments as well as managing all phases of development for a portfolio of wind energy projects.

Craig holds a M.S. degree in Economics and BBA degree with a major in Economics from Wichita State University.

Simon Day 1

Simon Day

Vice President – Head of Solar Development

Simon has been leading Terra-Gen’s solar development activities since 2016. He has over 24 years international expertise in utility-scale solar storage and environmental consulting positions.

Prior to joining Terra-Gen, Simon spent over five years at SunEdsion where he held positions in solar development, M&A and Power Marketing and Origination.

Prior to that, he held positions with subsidiaries of NTR, PLC including Tessera Solar, Stirling Energy Systems and the biofuels development business Bioverda. He spent over seven years doing environmental and engineering consulting in Chicago and London including at DNV and RPS Consulting.

A native of Ireland, he has a Master’s in International Business degree from Kings College London as well a M.A. in Environmental Science and a B.A. in Natural Sciences degree from Trinity College in Dublin.

Bernadette J 1

Bernadette Jendrusch

Vice President – Solar Development

Prior to joining Terra-Gen in 2018, Bernadette Jendrusch served as Senior Vice President of Solar Operations for Clean Energy Collective, a community solar developer/owner located in Louisville, Colorado.

From 2002 to 2018 Bernadette held various development and project management positions in solar energy, battery storage, and brownfield and greenfield real estate development for SunEdison, HMB Partners, BT Homes and the City of Santa Fe, New Mexico.

Bernadette holds a MPA degree from the LBJ School, University of Texas, Austin and a B.A. in General Studies from the University of Missouri-Columbia.

Dr. Yuanlong Hu

Vice President – Resource Analytics

Prior to joining Terra-Gen in 2011, Dr. Hu served as Manager of Wind Farm Design at NextEra Energy Resources, the unregulated affiliate of NextEra Energy, Inc. (formerly FPL group) since 2006. Dr. Hu’s group was responsible for met tower/remote sensor/solar met siting and data collecting/analyzing, wind resource assessment, wind flow modeling, wind farm layout optimizing and designing, among others.

Dr. Hu is currently a voting member of IEC Standards Committee appointed by US National Committee, and a voting member of American Clean Power (ACP) Wind Standards Committee. Dr. Hu has more than 30-plus years of experience in professional meteorological/atmospheric researches and held various positions including the deputy director and associate professor of Shanghai Meteorological Institute, China; visiting scientist in Germany and Hong Kong, etc.

Dr. Hu holds a Ph.D. degree in Atmospheric Science from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Ken Wagner

Vice President – Real Estate

Ken is Terra-Gen’s Vice President of Real Estate. Before joining Terra-Gen in 2009, Ken was Division President of Lennar Communities in Tampa, Florida, leading the real estate acquisition and development team. Ken has over 25 years of experience in the real estate industry.

Prior to joining Lennar Communities, Ken served as Director of Permitting Services for the City of Orlando.

Ken earned a B.S. degree in Industrial Engineering from Missouri State University and holds a State of Florida Certified General Contractor license.
